In the 10th round the meeting between leaders Rublevsky - Ivanchuk was ended in a draw on the 29th move. The rest games after the persistent battles were also drawn. Grischuk couldn't realize the material advantage against Bologan. The Shirov - Areshenko game proceeded almost six hours. A peace was signed only in the pawn ending. In the last round the most interested games are: Grishuk - Rublevsky,   Ivanchuk - Shirov and Mamedyarov - Bologan.

The 9th round did not change the position of leaders in the tournament table - the games with their participation ended in a draw. Shirov beated Harikrishna and aproached to the leaders's group. Ponomarev celebrated the first victory and Volokitin has been defeated for the third time in a row.

The leader of the tournament Sergei Rublevsky  in the 8th round made a draw with Shirov and still heads tournament table. Ivanchuk has half point less after his victory on Volokitin. Bologan couldn't realize his advantage against Areshenko. A draw in this game determined the third place to the Moldavian chess-player. Grischuk has got the first defeat in the tournament. Failures pursue Ponomariov - after today's defeat he takes the last place.

The 7th round began with a quick draw in the Grishuk - Ponomarev game and finished after five  and a half hours with a draw in the Shirov - Bologan sophistical game. Next victory (fifth in a row!) has won the leader of the tournament  Sergei Rublevsky, this time vs Harikrishna. Ivanchuk has entered in the trio of leaders after a victory over Nisipeanu. First victory celebrated Areshenko, against Volokitin.

Fourth Sergei Rublevsky's victory in a row and the first defeat of leader of the tournament Viktor Bologan. Such is the result of their meeting in the 6th round. After Rublevsky's victory in this game he leads in the tournament's table. In the games Nisipeanu - Areshchenko, Volokitin - Shirov,  Harikrishna - Mamedyarov White celebrated the victory. The games Ponomariov - Ivanchuk and Karjakin - Grischuk were drawn.

In the fifth round Bologan defeated Harikrishna and saved leadership. Rublevsky made a record of the tournament, winning a third victory in a row, today Volokitin. The rest games were drawn.

Two games In the third round were drawn. Ivanchuk and Grishuk signed a peace already after  twenty moves. In contrast Volokitin with Harikrishna fighted longer than rest of participants and a draw game was fixed on 90th move. In the other games the fight ended by victory to one of the sides. Bologan V. and Mamedyarov S. are leading with 2,5 (3).

The second round turned out peaceful: all six games ended in a draw. Andrey Volokitin, which today celebrates his 20-year-old anniversary, became the protagonist of round. Volokitin A., Bologan V. and Mamedyarov S. are leading with 1,5 (2).

The International GM tournament "Aerosvit-2006" is started. A lot of guests arrived on opening of the tournament. Among them FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. You can look a photo-report about the opening ceremony in a section "Photo".

The first result is fixed in the Bologan - Karjakin game. A victory was won by moldavian grand master.
